Expertise Is Earned.Trust Is Verified.
A rigorous, multi-step vetting process helps ensure customers connect with qualified professionals, not just people who claim to be experts.
Thousands of professionals apply to join Pearl. With a 1.5% Expert acceptance rate, our standards are intentionally selective. Applicants are evaluated against professional requirements, and approved Experts remain subject to ongoing quality assessments.
Before an Expert Is Approved
- 1
Application Review
Applicants submit their professional background, credentials, relevant work experience, and areas of expertise.
- 2
Professional Qualifications Screening
Applications are assessed against specialty-specific requirements, including relevant licenses, certifications, and years of professional experience.
- 3
Identity Verification
Identity checks help verify that applicants are who they claim to be.
- 4
Liveness Verification
Additional identity checks help confirm that the applicant is the individual pictured on their identification.
- 5
Third-Party Credential Verification
Independent verification providers check relevant professional credentials, where applicable. Applicants must meet their category's eligibility requirements before approval.
Quality Oversight Continues After Approval
- 6
Customer Ratings
Customers can rate their experience, with ratings displayed on Expert profiles.
- 7
Expert Peer Reviews
Experienced Experts can flag answers that may need improvement.
- 8
Algorithmic Quality Monitoring
JustAnswer uses a quality algorithm to evaluate aspects of Expert performance. Experts who consistently fall below platform standards are subject to removal.
In parallel, Experts who have a better track record of delivering help are given priority access to questions, so customers are more likely to be connected with Experts who can solve their problem.
